Tire Servicing Quick Checks

Before Servicing

  • Verify required cold inflation pressure in the AMM
  • Use a calibrated gauge rated for the expected pressure
  • Confirm wheel position and brake temperature are acceptable
  • Inspect valve core, cap, and stem for leakage or damage

Record the Right Data

  • Target pressure and measured pressure
  • Whether air or nitrogen was added
  • Uneven tread wear, sidewall cuts, flat spots, cord exposure
  • Repeat low-pressure trend that may indicate a slow leak

Escalate When

  • Pressure loss exceeds limits in the approved maintenance data
  • Valve core continues bubbling after reseat or replacement
  • Tire shows cord, chunking, bulges, or heat damage
  • Matched main tires are consistently trending apart
